Commercial Displays

Built for daylight.
Rated for always-on.

Stream's digital signage displays are commercial-grade screens made for the job consumer TVs can't do — sunlight-readable outdoors, running 24/7 indoors, warrantied for both.

A commercial display is digital signage hardware built to run all day, every day — brighter panels, industrial cooling, portrait and landscape mounting, and warranties that don't vanish the moment a screen goes to work. Stream supplies, installs, and monitors both outdoor and indoor digital signage displays nationwide.

Outdoor Displays

The sun is not
your art director.

Outdoor digital signage displays have one non-negotiable job: stay readable at high noon, in the rain, in February. Consumer panels wash out and cook — these don't.

Consumer TVs are rated for movie night, not for menu duty. Commercial indoor displays hold their brightness and color through years of open-to-close operation — and dayparts, prices, and sold-outs update themselves through POS integration.

How they hang: commercial rail mounts.

Indoor menu lines hang on commercial rail mounts — dropped from the ceiling over the counter, or flat against the wall. Modular rails with leveling screws keep 1x2, 1x3, and 1x4 screen runs perfectly aligned.

The Honest Comparison

"Can't I just use a TV?"

You can — for a while. Here's the difference between a commercial display and a consumer TV, before the sun and the duty cycle settle it for you.

Commercial Display FAQs

What is a commercial display?

A commercial display is a screen engineered for business use: brighter panels, continuous-duty cooling, portrait or landscape mounting, and a warranty that covers commercial operation. It's the difference between hardware built for a living room and digital signage hardware built for a storefront.

What's the difference between a commercial display and a consumer TV?

Brightness, duty cycle, and warranty. Consumer TVs are rated for a few hours a day in a dim room, and most warranties are void in commercial settings. Commercial displays run 16–24 hours a day, hold brightness for years, and are warrantied doing it.

How bright does an outdoor display need to be?

About 3,500 nits — that's what our LG outdoor panels deliver (2,800 minimum), versus roughly 250–350 nits for a living-room TV. Window-facing units go further, to 4,000 nits, because storefront glass adds glare the screen has to punch through. If a screen faces the sun, brightness is the spec that decides everything.

Can I put a screen outdoors without an enclosure?

Purpose-built outdoor displays are weather-sealed on their own; standard commercial panels can go outside inside a protective enclosure. Which route makes sense depends on climate, mounting, and budget — we'll spec it with you.

Can commercial displays be mounted in portrait?

Yes — commercial panels are designed and cooled for portrait or landscape mounting, which is why menu boards, lobby directories, and promo totems can run vertical without cooking themselves.

How much does a commercial display cost?

It depends on size, brightness tier, and indoor vs. outdoor rating. Over a three-year life, commercial panels usually cost less than replacing consumer TVs that weren't built for the job — book a demo and we'll quote your exact screens.
